Tom Peterson is pilot of Dreamtime, and is editor, webmaster, and a past President of the Nebraska Balloon Club.
Tom and his wife, Stephanie, have been ballooning since 1986. Tom earned his private pilot's certificate in 1996 while living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has been flying in the Omaha area since 2000, obtaining his commercial certificate in 2005.
Dreamtime is Tom and Stephanie's second balloon, and is a 1998 Head AX8-88 (88,000 cu. ft.) envelope over a Balloon Works 4.5 basket. The name Dreamtime was inspired by the Australian aboriginal creation myth. Tom's preferred flying area includes the scenic Elkhorn and Platte River valleys.
Tom works as a computer engineer for an Omaha-based insurance company to support his ballooning habit, as well as offering an occasional charter flight or tether.
