Gene Elsasser - RE/Max
Gene is an active Commercial Pilot for RE/Max Corporation in Nebraska and Western Iowa. Prior to flying a 90,000 cubic foot Aerostar for RE/Max, Gene flew his own balloon, Sundance for several years. Gene acted as his wife Jacquie's instructor for her Private Pilot balloon certificate. Together, they owned a restaurant business for 9 years. Today, Gene and crew stay busy with paid rides and tether operations all across Nebraska and Iowa. Gene began ballooning in 1975, starting out as crew for William Woldt's Lightening Express. Gene counts as his most memorable flight winning the "key grab" at the 1992 indianola Balloon Classic for a new Volvo. Gene loves flying in Nebraska with other balloonists because of the friendly landowners and great crew. He also enjoys flying at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta as part of the "awesome sight of so many balloons" flying in ideal weather conditions, and being able to share ballooning stories with pilots from around the world. When not flying, the Elsassers enjoy their nine children and 22 grandchildren, as well as time with friends and neighbors, yard & craft work, sports, and outdoor activities. Contact Gene at: Back |
